Cornel West Arrested at OWS in Harlem

Princeton University professor Cornel West was among a few dozen protesters arrested at a solidarity march in New York on Friday as OWS activists locked arms with members of progressive groups in front of a Harlem police station. The crowd of a couple of hundred was protesting the practice of "stop-and-frisk," which allows officers to stop and search city residents on the street. (more)

I thought about Susan Dey and blisters and being a hippie last Thursday when I found myself driving around outside the Air and Space Museum looking for a place to park. I was in D.C. for the purpose of lending my body and rancor to the Occupy Wall Street protesters gathering in Freedom Plaza for their first day of rabble-rousing.There was no nuance as far as the eye could see.
