According to an ABC News report, Taliban military officer Mansour Dadullah claims that plans are in the works for large-scale terror attacks. In an account typical of some circulating in Basra, a resident told the BBC that she was attacked by a dog-sized creature with the head of a monkey. Many locals believe that such creatures (recently identified as honey badgers) have been released by the British to sow panic. The rumors have now been officially denied by UK military spokesman Maj. A group of US troops were posted at a checkpoint on a bridge near Baghdad Sunday when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb from below, killing three American soldiers and wounding six others The BBC reports that this latest attack brings the death toll of U troops to at least 28 already this month. The U.S. Embassy has told India that it has information suggesting that terror attacks might occur in the political and economic capitals -- Delhi and Mumbai.
