The USS Forrestal began its voyage from Pennsylvania to Texas on Tuesday.

It once hosted aviator John McCain, and witnessed a terrible fire that burned for 16 hours and killed 134 sailors.

The Navy tried to turn the ship into a museum or memorial, but got no takers. And now she heads for the scrap heap, by way of the Gulf of Mexico.
