After talking passionately about the deaths of Michael Brown and 12-year-old Tamir Rice at the hands of policemen, the “Trews” host exclaims, “What Ferguson has become is a microcosmic cauldron of centuries of racial oppression.” In the spirit of the YouTube show’s mission, Brand tries to reframe the information being offered by Fox News on the case, expressing his sense of responsibility to do so.

“The attempt [by Fox News] to frame this as ‘Oh, this is unruly unrest and looting’ I think is absolutely irrelevant,” said the comedian on the latest “Trews” episode. “What is relevant is that St. Louis police have killed 40 people and that a teenage boy has been murdered and there are no legal consequences to it.
