The TV version of Dan Savage’s It Gets Better project premiered Tuesday night, featuring the stories of three LGBT teens.

It Gets Better started when Savage, an advice columnist, responded to a rush of teen suicides by posting a video with his husband Terry to encourage bullied kids to hang on. It has since become an international movement with tens of thousands of people, including the president, posting similar videos.
