U.S. House Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood

The GOP-led bill, passed Friday on a 241-187 vote, would strip the women's health-care provider of its funding for contraception, pap smears and testing for sexually transmitted infections unless it ceases performing abortions. It is not expected to pass in the Senate, and President Obama has said he would veto any bill that blocks funding to the group.
