Bio

Mark Malseed, a former researcher for Bob Woodward, collaborated on three consecutive New York Times nonfiction bestsellers prior to writing The Google Story, his first book. Now a writer and consultant, Malseed also shares his investigative insights with businesses, organizations and schools in "Google Sleuthing" seminars. He has been a guest commentator on the BBC, ABC News and other programs.

As Bob Woodward's exclusive researcher from 2002 to 2004, Malseed collaborated on the #1 blockbusters Plan of Attack and Bush at War and numerous articles for The Washington Post. He previously contributed research and reporting for David Vise's The Bureau and the Mole.

Malseed has written for the Travel section of the Boston Herald and for several travel guidebooks, and has extensive knowledge of the cruise industry, which he is lending to a cruise Web site being launched in 2007. A native of Philadelphia, Malseed graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Lehigh University, majoring in architecture, and also studied at the DiS school in Copenhagen and in Paris. He spent two years during the height of the dot-com boom as a technology and design consultant to a personal finance Web site.

A founding member of Lehigh's Young Alumni Council, Malseed volunteers for the university to promote alumni networking and education. A cofounder of OhMyGov, Mr. Malseed now leads product design and development at Synoptos.
