Obama Expected to Address Gay Rights Group

This may not be one of his easiest speeches to deliver, considering his less than harmonious relationship with the audience, but President Barack Obama is reportedly planning to make some remarks during the Human Rights Campaign’s dinner Saturday in Washington, D.C. –KA

Obama would be the second sitting president to address the group. Then-President Bill Clinton spoke in 1997.

Obama has faced criticism from activists for not taking a stronger stand on overturning a ban on gays and lesbians serving openly in the military.
