Bernie Sanders campaign ad, “For Jobs, For Us.”

Good news for the Sanders campaign: His video ads are resonating with people. A recent study conducted by Ace Metrix shows that over the past 90 days, Sanders’ ads have had the most consistent impact on voters:

Bernie Sanders’ campaign continues to produce effective ads, earning the highest scoring ad across all candidates and voting groups with “For Jobs for Us” with an Ace Score of 570. He has also [seven] of the top eleven ads during this time period. The list also includes two spots for [John] Kasich, two Anti-Trump ads and one ad for Ted Cruz. Hillary Clinton’s highest scoring ad comes in at number 15 on the list.

According to its website, Ace Metrix “provides video ad effectiveness metrics and data to campaigns, PACs, and advocacy groups, based on 500 respondents per ad and a sample of national registered voters balanced to the United States census. The data collected provides insights into the effectiveness of the ad, verbatim responses and the likelihood the ad changed the way respondents will vote.”

With seven of the 11 top ads, the Sanders campaign is connecting with people across the political spectrum, the research shows.

Ace Metrix also reports that “the theme of job creation resonated in many of the top ads with Democrats and Republicans alike,” which may give candidates a clue as to which issues voters care about most.

With New York’s April 19 primary approaching, the results of this study may bolster the hopes of those feeling the Bern in the Empire State.
