The stakes could not be higher for the Great March of Return in Gaza. According to The Real News Network, Israeli military killed at least 58 peaceful Palestinian protesters on Monday and injured 2,700, including 1,350 by gunfire.

This is the highest death toll yet in Gaza.

Palestinians want to return to what is now Israel, and despite the threat of violence, the protesters—who also are against the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem—remain undeterred in their pursuit.

“Sooner or later, we will enter our lands, and we will free it, and we will kick the occupiers out of our land,” said Abu Mohammed. “We will use every way possible. If it’s with burnt tires, flaming kites or stones. Even if we get killed trying. The people will not stop fighting for their rights.”
