The Cartoon Network has apologized for causing the biggest security scare in Boston since 9/11. A blogger surfaced The Boston Globe's list of President Bush's most egregious use of signing statements (the "interpretations" Bush makes of about-to-be-signed bills to avoid following the laws' intent). Almond, an adjunct professor at Boston College, has resigned his post to protest the college's choice of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as commencement speaker. "I cannot, in good conscience, exhort my students to pursue truth and knowledge, then collect a paycheck from an institution that displays such flagrant disregard for both," he writes.
