To his credit, ABC’s Charlie Gibson posed some practical and pertinent questions in the first installment of his interview with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, and he didn’t let her off the hook when she conflated “national security” with “energy independence.” The initial portion of Gibson’s sit-down interview with Palin aired Thursday night.
Gibson also asked Palin, “Can you look the country in the eye and say, ‘I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president but perhaps president of the United States of America?’ ”
