Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe sounded as if he had stolen a page from a B-grade drama as he warned Western envoys against supporting government opposition groups — an action that could now get them kicked out of the country. “We have given too much room to mischief-makers and shameless stooges of the West,” Mugabe is quoted as having said this weekend. “Let them and their masters know that we shall brook none of their lawless behaviour.”
TRUTHDIG’S JOURNALISM REMAINS CLEARAl Jazeera:

“I warned them … that any ambassador or member of their diplomatic staff who violates these two articles of the Vienna Conventions, the government of Zimbabwe will not hesitate to invoke the provisions of those articles … that relates to their expulsion,” Mbengegwi told Al Jazeera.
