Far-right conspiracy theorist and U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene received a loud Bronx cheer at her Manhattan press conference this morning.
Hours before Donald Trump was expected to report to New York authorities, throngs of opponents and supporters of the former president began gathering outside the Manhattan Criminal Courts Building. Among them was Greene, one of Trump’s most loyal supporters and allies in Congress.
At a press conference Greene organized in front of the court, Truthdig photojournalist Michael Nigro was present as the Georgia politician was shouted down and eventually hustled away after delivering her short — and very truncated — remarks.
Greene, who self-identifies as a Christian Nationalist, is known for perpetuating a laundry list of conspiracy theories, including QAnon, Pizzagate and White Genocide — as well as for holding a variety of other bizarre and bigoted views.
