Jon Stewart, Nathan Lane and More Ask Sean Hannity to Stay in New York
The Fox News host is feeling so unwelcome in his home state of New York due to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's comments about extreme-right Republicans that he's decided to leave. But "The Daily Show" won't let such a valuable taxpayer simply slip away. When New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently said that anti-gay, anti-abortion extremists had no place in New York, he couldn’t have imagined Sean Hannity would feel so personally offended. Outraged and feeling unwelcome in his home state as a result of Cuomo’s comments, the Fox News host has decided to leave. And while Gov. Rick Scott of Florida and his Texas counterpart Rick Perry are both eager to have the right-winger move to their respective states, a few New Yorkers have a vested interest in Hannity’s residence.
Watch this hysterically tongue-in-cheek “Daily Show” bit where actor Nathan Lane, fashionista Tim Gunn and the cast of “Jersey Boys” beg the valuable taxpayer to “Stay, Mr. Hannity, stay!” Because, after all, if he leaves “Who would [they] impose socialism upon?”
