John McCain in a tight spot with regard to the truth — this time in relation to his past and current stance on repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell.” And his wife, Cindy, isn’t spared either after her recent flip-flop on the issue. –KA

When George W. Bush was running against the late Arizona senator in the 2000 GOP primary, the Bush campaign implied McCain's adopted daughter from Bangladesh was born from an affair between the senator and a black woman.
As her daughter Meghan did before her, Cindy McCain, registered Republican and wife of Sen. John McCain, has lent her well-known visage to the NOH8 campaign that began after the passage of California's Proposition 8 in November 2008. The campaign's organizers expressed their surprise that Cindy was willing to do so and gave her props for her bid to "show people that party doesn't matter."
