Aaron Sorkin to Shoot Film About Fallen ‘Politician’ John Edwards
Aaron Sorkin made his name as a writer and producer of “The West Wing,” so he clearly knows a thing or two about political drama. Turns out he also really wants to direct movies, and he’s gearing up to make quite a debut with his big-screen adaptation of “The Politician: An Insider’s Account of John Edwards’s Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal That Brought Him Down.” Yes, that would be Andrew Young’s tell-all about working for former presidential candidate-turned-cad John Edwards. Sorkin seems pretty excited by this project; we can imagine, however, that Edwards doesn’t share his enthusiasm. –KA
