Good news Congress: According to a new survey conducted by Public Policy Polling, you’re more popular than the Kardashians, gonorrhea and Lindsay Lohan. Hooray! Now the bad news: Americans think more highly of cockroaches, head lice, NFL replacement refs and being stuck in traffic than they do of the House and Senate. Ouch!

“When you’re less popular than cockroaches, Genghis Khan, traffic jams, and yes even Nickelback, well, it might be time to reevaluate,” Public Policy Polling correctly states.

For the record, the poll found that 85 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Congress, while 9 percent have formed a favorable opinion.

That’s quite shocking when you think about it: Some Americans actually believe Congress is doing a good job!
