The Senate Intelligence Committee recently declassified documents on CIA torture during the Bush administration, inspiring the “Daily Show” host to take us on a “stroll down ‘things we’d like to erase from our memory’ lane” to check in on George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld.

Let’s just say, though they’re not dealing with their legacy of human destruction too well, a combination of denial, rhetoric and amateur paintings seems to be keeping them out of both jail and hell for now.

In the meantime, Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s exclamation, “This is not what Americans do,” rings more true with a Stewart amendment, “except we did.”
