Israel continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday as militant Palestinian rockets landed in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Of the 23 people killed, all were Palestinian.

That figure was reported by Palestinian authorities via Reuters.

Israeli authorities reported two injuries following rocket attacks that struck unusually deep into Israeli territory. Comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested the conflict could go on for some time.

This conflagration was sparked by the slayings of three Israeli and one Palestinian teenagers. It should be noted that at least five children, whose names we don’t know, have died since the crisis escalated to military action.

The victims on both sides, whether Palestinian or Israeli, are primarily civilians.
