Los Angeles-area readers can celebrate the publication that’s at once a true American classic and ahead of its time at a special event on Thursday evening. Follow this link for more information about the screening of Oscar-winning filmmaker Barbara Kopple’s documentary “Hot Type: 150 Years of The Nation,” followed by a Q&A with The Nation editor and publisher Katrina Vandenheuvel and writer Amy Wilentz, at the Hammer Museum. Television pioneer Norman Lear will also be on hand to kick off the program.
