Pulitzer-winning journalist Ronan Farrow, who is on tour to promote his new book, “War on Peace: The End of Diplomacy and the Decline of American Influence,” interviewed all living secretaries of state for the book—and he said in an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Wednesday that the Hillary Clinton campaign nearly canceled his interview.

“Hillary Clinton had scheduled an interview while I was at the height of the Weinstein reporting, and her folks got in touch and said, ‘We heard you’re working on a big story,’ sounded very concerned, and tried to cancel that interview,” Farrow said.

“Over the Weinstein stuff?” the “Good Morning America” host asked.

“Over the Weinstein stuff,” Farrow said.

Like many other Democrats, Clinton came under scrutiny for having accepted campaign contributions from disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. In October, she said she was “shocked and appalled” by allegations against Weinstein, though writer/actor Lena Dunham claims she warned the Clinton campaign about the rumored allegations.
