The Wonderful White House Isn’ts (Video)
It’s been quite a week so far, from “truth isn’t truth” to an unindicted co-conspirator for a president.
It’s been quite a week so far, from “truth isn’t truth” to an unindicted co-conspirator for a president. On Tuesday. we saw two top characters in this saga go to the “guilty” column, joining Michael Flynn, Rick Gates and others. The circle around President Donald Trump is getting tighter and filled with more legal danger.
It all goes back to “truth isn’t truth.” If the president and his cohorts took the truth a little more seriously, they may not be facing so many years in prison and the real possibility of impeachment. The culture of corruption and good ol’ fashioned grifting around Trump is becoming more apparent and more dangerous to him personally.
You can see how easy it is to go from Rudy Giuliani’s truthless adage to a world in which more deaths due to looser regulations on coal-burning power plants is not such a big deal. Much like Gates found an easy path to committing crimes since his boss, Paul Manafort, was doing it, so goes what seems like the rest of the White House.
