In a discussion with journalist Greg Palast in Santa Monica, Calif., on Wednesday, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter David Cay Johnston talks about the GOP tax bill as well as how Donald Trump’s 2005 tax return “reeks of criminality.”

Claiming that many journalists failed to catch the real story behind corporate taxes stipulated in the Republican tax bill, Johnston​ explains how, in reality, companies like Apple stand to make a whole lot of money from the new legislation, despite headlines about the billions it will pay to the government.

The reporter’s most recent book, “It’s Even Worse Than You Think: What the Trump Administration Is Doing to America,” published in mid-January, is already a New York Times best-seller.
