Jon Stewart on How He Only Realized How Broken the U.S. Is After He Quit ‘The Daily Show’ (Video)
The former host of "The Daily Show" weighs in on Donald Trump (aka "man baby") and Hillary Clinton (whom he bills as "inauthentic"), telling his audience that however he painted the American political system on the show, "it's so much worse than you could ever imagine."At a live taping on Monday of “The Axe Files With David Axelrod” at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics, the former host of “The Daily Show” weighed in on Donald Trump (aka “man baby”) and Hillary Clinton (whom he bills as “inauthentic”), telling his audience that however he painted the American political system on the show, “it’s so much worse than you could ever imagine. It is a cesspool.”
He added: “There are some good people trying to survive within the lava, but it’s a fucking horror show.”
The comedian discussed in detail his disheartening interactions with politicians and offers this advice to those who would like to change the current rotting system: “Get into it and don’t get it on you. … Wear a hazmat suit.”
Stewart also put to rest any rumors of his reappearing on TV with another show.
