Money may not grow on trees, but in China noses can be grown on foreheads. A man was in a terrible car accident in the Fujian province last year and suffered severe nasal trauma. After failing to receive treatment, the injury became infected and doctors were unable to save his nose.

Brainstorming ways to replace this prominent facial feature, a few surgeons then came up with the far-fetched idea of forming a new nose on the top of his face. And it worked! After nine months, the 22-year-old has grown a full nose, which, according to the BBC, doctors now deem ready to move toward the center of his face.
