Hillary Clinton Gets to Shoot Back at Sexist Criticism, Thanks to a Jimmy Kimmel Skit (Video)
Hillary Clinton has faced quite a bit of irrelevant commentary on the campaign trail in the 2016 presidential race. Such things as her smile, her clothes and her overall demeanor have all been critiqued.
The Democratic presidential candidate has suffered a wide variety of men telling her how she could improve, and on Thursday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” she was able to poke fun at the sexist rhetoric she has put up with for so long.
After Kimmel explains that “mansplaining is a way that we men can help women be better,” the former secretary of state steps up to a podium to give her stump speech. Kimmel then unleashes a barrage of contradictory criticisms, telling her, “You’re shouting, you’re too loud — it comes off a little shrill for men,” only to say moments later, “You know what, you have to speak up.” Eventually, they come to the satirical conclusion that maybe something bigger is at play here.
