In April 1943, as Nazis rounded up, and later deported or killed, about 300,000 Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, Hitler's henchmen were met with resistance in the form of the Warsaw Uprising, as factions of armed Jews and Polish gentiles from the Home Army banded together to strike back against their occupiers.
