The Supreme Court ruled in favor of maintaining the U.S. military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on Monday, which bars openly gay men and women from serving. Neither McCain nor Obama would alter the prevailing jurisprudence in the Supreme Court or in subordinate tribunals. The unfortunate result will be a judiciary that is deferential to presidential powers and law enforcement in the name of fighting international terrorism. Dig deeper ( 4 Min. Read )
