Updated: Well, not exactly a real pullout, but a plan to be announced by the Obama administration on Friday is expected to withdraw "combat" troops from Iraq by Aug. 31, 2010, officially ending U.S. combat operations in the war-torn country while keeping 50,000 ambiguously labeled "support troops" there. One such miscue may also be the most enduring image of his presidency -- that speech in front of a "Mission Accomplished" banner before his war in Iraq turned into an outright catastrophe. On the fifth anniversary of George W. Bush's infamous stroll across the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, The New York Times asked a group of "experts" how they would accomplish the mission in Iraq. Four years ago, President Bush delivered his now-infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech aboard the carrier Abraham Lincoln, declaring that military aggression was a successful and appropriate response to the alleged threats posed by Saddam Hussein's Iraqi regime.
