Some climate change deniers have schlepped a frozen sculpture of Al Gore to Alaska to prove that, science be damned, global warming can't possibly be happening because "it still gets cold" in the arctic state.
Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign has been picking up momentum, but now the candidate finds himself in a war of words with the Drudge Report. On Thursday, McCain vehemently denied that, as was posted on Drudge, he once gave "special treatment" to a lobbyist and has been trying to pressure The New York Times to kill the story.
Al Gore, in an interview with The Nation, says that no meaningful change will happen on the global warming front until the public starts demanding it of their leaders. And right now, the people have other things on their minds.
