Well, that didn't take long China now has more billionaires (89 if you include Hong Kong) than any other country except for the US, which, to be fair, has been working overtime to transfer wealth upward Unlike the U, the Chinese government has promised to distribute its bounty to "make our society fairer and more harmonious". This is just the kind of news that doesn't bode well for the state of democracy in America: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg shelled out $102 million of his own money in his recent successful (albeit close) run for re-election.
