Truthdig Trek: Backpacking on the Appalachian Trail

27th June 2013 -1st July 2013
Description

The Truthdig Trek was a five-day backpacking trip and lecture tour through the Presidential Range in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

The trek was a unique opportunity to meet Chris Hedges and discuss in person some of his most respected books while experiencing a guided journey through the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.

The rigorous hikes through some of the best scenery on the East Coast included daily one-hour discussions based on three of Chris Hedges’ best-selling works and a climb to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest point on the Eastern Seaboard.

Don’t miss Chris Hedges’ Truthdig column “Freedom in the Grace of the World,” which was inspired by the Appalachian Trail.
