Mike Huckabee Blames Connecticut Shooting on Separation of Church and State

Posted on Dec 14, 2012

How does one explain the massacre of 20 children at a school in Connecticut? Madness? A society that values gun rights ahead of human life? No. The answer, according to former Arkansas governor and Fox News commentator Mike Huckabee, is the secularization of schools.

“We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability?” asked Huckabee. His comments in their full context can be found in the video below, by way of Political Wire and Think Progress.
