Stephen Robert Miller is deputy editor at Truthdig. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The New Republic, Mother Jones, Sierra Magazine and many others. He is the author of “Over the Seawall: Tsunamis, Cyclones, Drought, and the Delusion of Controlling Nature,” published by Island Press. A former senior editor at YES! Magazine and Ted Scripps Fellow in environmental journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder, he lives in Colorado.
