Sandy Tolan is the author of "Children of the Stone: The Power of Music in a Hard Land," a finalist for a 2015 Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the international best seller, "The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East" (Bloomsbury, 2006). He is a professor at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, and a co-founder of Homelands Productions, which produces documentary journalism for public radio.
