Salma Niazi is an Afghan journalist and the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Afghan Times, a women-led independent news outlet amplifying Afghan voices in exile. She began her career as a radio journalist in Laghman, Afghanistan, and after the Taliban’s return in 2021, co-founded The Afghan Times to spotlight human rights and women’s issues.
