Lisandra Fariñas is a Cuban journalist with a master's in population studies from the University of Havana. In her over 13 years of reporting, she has focused on the intersections of communication, health, gender, demographic aging, and public policy. Her expertise includes human rights, gender-based violence, sexual diversity, and women's rights. She is the Cuba coordinator for the 2025 Global Media Monitoring Project by the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC).
