Khabat Abbas

Khabat Abbas is an independent journalist and consultant from Rojava- Syria with over a decade of experience covering the country’s major turning points, from the early uprisings in Rojava to the rise and fall of ISIS, Turkish incursions, and the recent collapse of the Assad regime. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, ZDF, and WOZ, and she has collaborated with the UNHCR, Amnesty International, and the Conflict Armament Research Center. She is also co-author of Pandemic Solidarity and Balas Para Todas (Bullets for All).
