Afrah Nasser is an independent Yemeni journalist and the founding editor of Sana'a Review magazine. Nasser is the recipient of the 2017 International Press Freedom Award from the Committee to Protect Journalists. She is also the recipient of the 2018 Dag Hammarskjöld Journalism Fellowship.

Nasser, who now lives in exile in Sweden, is a strong advocate of human rights in Yemen and a champion of gender equality in the Middle East. Her work has appeared in many international publications including the Huffington Post, CNN, Al Jazeera English and The National.
