White House Gears Up for Obamacare PR Blitz
After the initial rollout of President Obama's health-care bill-turned-GOP-punching-bag, the Affordable Care Act, became fraught with buggy technology woes and further assailed by rallying foes, the White House needed its own Plan B, if you will.

So, here comes the Obama administration with a 20-day PR onslaught, just in time for the holidays, aiming to offer the American public renewed faith that Obamacare will work for them — or at least that the beleaguered HealthCare.gov website will work for them.
And let the record show that the term “Obamacare” is just fine with POTUS and his contingent.
The president will take to the podium at 2:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday to launch the opening salvo, according to a White House official whose carefully crafted message fit snugly into the lead of CNN’s news story earlier that morning:
“While work continues on the website, we think it is important that proponents of health reform undertake a renewed effort to refocus the public on the benefits of the law that have already been implemented,” the official said.
“To kick off the new effort, the President will hold an event at the White House to discuss the health care law’s benefits already in place for millions of Americans and make the case for why we need to move forward to make sure the law is a success.”
The first event is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, but it is just the first wave in a tsunami of information the Obama administration plans to unleash.
This will be a daily event through December 23 as the White House plans to highlight benefits of the Affordable Care Act — sometimes on its own and other times with the help of supporters of the reform package.
