Brown “Frustrated” at Being Barred From Speaking Over “Vagina” Comment:

State Rep. Lisa Brown responded Friday to Michigan House Republican efforts to block her from speaking on the floor after she used the word “vagina” during an impassioned speech on women’s health issues this week. “If we’re going to legislate vaginas, we have to be able to talk about vaginas. I don’t know what word they would like me to use otherwise,” the Democrat said, adding “it was frustrating not to be able to speak to anything. It was a gag order on me and the people I represent.” (Read more)

Koch Brothers to Hold Political Convention: As if they don’t already hold enough influence in politics due to their enormous wealth, the conservative Koch brothers are planning to hold a convention in San Diego later this month. Even though Pawlenty has said he doesn’t want to be vice president, joining Romney on the campaign trail is not likely to quell talk that he’s on the shortlist anytime soon. (Read more)

Florida Governor Purged From Voter Roles for Being “Dead”: Before he was governor, Rick Scott was denied the right to cast an early ballot in 2006 because, according to the voting rolls, he was dead. After showing an ID to poll workers, Scott eventually was allowed to vote provisionally. It’s an ironic side note for the man who is now at the center of the controversial effort to purge the voter rolls of noncitizens in the Sunshine State. (Read more)

Video of the Day: It is not unusual for protesters to heckle politicians. What is unusual is when the heckler in question is a reporter. In this instance, the man who interrupted President Obama during an immigration speech was Nell Munro, a reporter for the conservative website The Daily Caller.
