A passenger refused to sit idly by on a New York City subway over the weekend when a hateful “preacher” went on a rant in which he likened gays to pedophiles and claimed that Michael Jackson died because he was a homosexual.

The man vocally confronted the subway preacher, telling him, “You are a false prophet. Do not listen to this man. He’s scared. He’s full of hatred.”

When the preacher continued his anti-gay tirade, the man said loudly that he was gay and that yes, he is still loved by Jesus. “I’m a good man,” he said. “And I’m a gay man and Jesus loves me! Jesus loves me!”

As his fellow subway riders burst into spontaneous applause, the man declares that “Love wins.”

In this instance, it certainly did.
