Sanford, of course, is the former governor of South Carolina who vanished to conduct an affair in Argentina and has re-emerged to run for Congress.
Flynt said he did not reach his decision easily, but has contributed the maximum donation to Sanford’s campaign. He challenged the candidate to meet him in person for a photo opportunity.
“His open embrace of his mistress in the name of love, breaking his sacred marriage vows, was an act of bravery that has drawn my support,” Flynt said.
