“The Daily Show’s” segment on Fox News’ Christmas paranoia doesn’t get any better than this clip where Jon Stewart takes down both Gretchen Carlson and Megyn Kelly for their absurd statements about nativity scenes and Santa. By now most of us are familiar with Kelly’s supposedly “joking” statement about Santa and Jesus’ race (in case you haven’t heard, they’re both white, according to “verifiable historic facts”). Stewart brings in senior Christmas correspondent Jessica Williams to explain how it was absolutely OK to turn the original Saint Nick from a swarthy Turkish man into a pale Scandinavian old fellow. But of course, after history has been altered to fit white people’s comfort zone, it has to be “locked down” and remain unrevised for eternity.

And then there’s Carlson, who is extremely upset that the “Seinfeld”-inspired Festivus festivities in Florida (which consist of one pole made of beer cans) are getting in the way of the myriad nativities she wants to show her kids. As the pundit points out, that doesn’t really make sense given that her place of work has a live nativity she could very well take her family to see.

The Christmas insanity has reached such an extreme that a Fox host actually said, “You can’t take facts and then try to change them to fit some sort of political agenda or sensitivity agenda.” The irony of anyone on Fox News saying this is not lost on Stewart, who waves his arms around in distress saying, “There is so much crazy going on here.” It’s no wonder this edition of the War on Christmas is titled “S#@t’s Getting Weird.”

Whether or not you’re celebrating the holiday, take some time to make today jollier with some Stewart supplied laughter.
