Prison officials at 4:38 ET said to expect Davis’s execution within the half hour.

NAACP President Ben Jealous, speaking on “Democracy Now!,” which is reporting live from the prison where Troy Davis was scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. Eastern time, said that he spoke with Davis’ lawyers and learned that the Supreme Court has delayed the execution. Davis could still be executed within minutes.
