Stephen Colbert, the Unlikely Feminist
In honor of Women's History Month, the pundit went on a rant about the beauty industry that will leave misogynists' heads spinning till April.“The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show” may be on spring break, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss your dose of political comedy. There are plenty of hilarious clips to watch and rewatch while awaiting their return.
A couple of weeks ago, in honor of Women’s History Month, Stephen Colbert went on a rant about the beauty industry that will leave misogynists’ heads spinning till April. The pundit even (briefly) earns an M.A. in women’s studies from Wellesley College for studying commercials that explain what products make women shine, laugh and feel comfortable at all times. And then, of course, there’s the “all-you-can’t-eat buffet” the corporate world serves all the while setting atrociously unreachable beauty standards that destroy self-esteem.
