Actually, it’s the bottom slot, as the list seems to be ranked in reverse, but since this is confusing, we’ll still call it the top. Thank you for your flexibility, kind readers. Oh, and Afghanistan and Iraq aren’t far behind (above?). –KA

Afghanistan, Iraq, Burma were among the lowest-ranked, with conflict-ridden Somalia at the bottom for the second year running.
New Zealand was the least corrupt, followed by Denmark and Singapore.
