‘SNL’: Dennis Rodman Appears in Skit Mocking North Korea’s Kim Jong Un
In this weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live," the show's version of the North Korean ruler made a couple of major announcements regarding state policy on nuclear weapons and gay marriage.
In the opening skit of this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live,” North Korean ruler Kim Jong Un (played here by Bobby Moynihan) makes a couple of major announcements regarding state policy. First, SNL’s version of the supreme leader declares that the country will reopen its nuclear facility to make nuclear weapons so that North Korea’s enemies will be “chagrined” and “discombobulated.” And second, he announces that his position on same-sex marriage has “evolved” and that gay couples would now be allowed to wed in the country. The North Korean leader explains his change of heart was due to witnessing the unhappiness of his gay nephew (since executed, he says–not because of his sexuality, but for hosting a weekly book group).
Be sure to watch until the end for a special cameo by Kim Jong Un friend Dennis Rodman.
