“Bill, you’re not even an efficient racist anymore,” a bemused Russell Brand tells an image of the Fox News host in his latest episode of “The Trews.” Racism, bigotry, greed, all the values of the “devil,” as the comedian points out, are espoused by the paranoid Bill O’Reilly as he makes an argument for deporting any refugee who crosses U.S. borders, and militarizing the imaginary line that divides America.

Brand also argues that how conservatives want to run the world — through war, corporatization, inequality, etc. — isn’t working, so the sane thing to do would be to examine concepts such as “nation,” which the comedian remarks is useless in today’s day and age, and try to find a more humane, sustainable way of living as a whole. Unity, love, compassion, these are the things we need to be exploring, the “Trews” creator tells us, concepts O’Reilly seems to have lost sight of long ago.
